See below: It sounds like a calcific scar has developed. These can be surgically emoved. Ask your doctor for a referral.

Have it checked out: When you hit your head, you may have had bleeding there. If it formed a blood clot, it can leave a residual knot on the surface of the skull which you feel as the small knot. Hard to say whether it will eventually flatten out or not. There are also other things it could be. Have it checked out by a surgeon.
