An accessory spleen, with splenic tissue that grows outside the splenic capsule. Relatively common, seen many times in patients that suffered a splenectomy/had their spleen removed.

A splenule is a small bit of splenic tissue found outside of the actual spleen. It is usually found randomly on an abdominal scan, and usually does not cause any symptoms or concerns. Good luck.
