In the past two days i have had brown spit when i get up in the morning. once, i spit a couple times it clears up and doesn't occur till the next day. what could cause this? this has just started occurring?

Did symptoms follow a recent head cold? Are you experiencing a cough? If not, in my experience brownish spit can be a combination of old blood&debris from nasal passages or paranasal sinuses. Do you note nasal stuffiness? Is your bedroom very dry from heating system? You may need a humidifier & use of nasal saline spray treatments. See your MD or an ENT specialist as needed.
