Is mycoplasma genitalium a local infection, or could it spread from an oral infection all the way to the genitalia?

This is the same question asked previously about chlamydia and the answer is the same. M. genitalium rarely infects the mouth or throat and urethral infection is only acquired by genital or anal sex.
