No: The strength of the magnetic field varies greatly amongst MRI machines. Higher field strength produces more detailed pictures. Also, older machines may not have the ability to perform some of the more recently devised examinations because of hardware or software deficiencies.

No : Mri varies in field strength. High field strength is 1.5 or 3t. Low is less than 1.5 and is sufficient for back, joints, etc. But not abdomen. Dedicated coils increase imaging quality as well. As "open" MRI increases distance from patient, it typically results in decreased image quality.
