Usually 3-4 weeks, but possibly up to 6 weeks. But be aware that hepatitis C virus is NOT sexually transmitted, exception in one particular circumstance: men who have sex with men and participate in potentially traumatic anal sex practices. There is common misunderstanding about this, including many physicians, but HCV is not transmitted heterosexually, or so rarely it can be ignored.
