These first few months, your baby will be growing at a very fast rate. Feed 2-3 ounces every 3 hours. Make sure you feed your baby in your arms, don't prop the bottle, and take time to burp the baby after every ounce or so. Keep your baby upright for 20-30 minutes after a feed to avoid the milk coming back up.

The average stomach size in infants can accept 1/2 their poundage as ounces (8 lb-4oz). If they spit up with this, you can back down some. Some new babies spit up while they are learning to feed, it is not necessarily a sign you are doing anything wrong or illness.
