A member asked:

Bacterial cyst still smells after removal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

By a bacterial cyst,I assume you're referring to a skin cyst that was infected before the procedure. Was there pus drainaing before the procedure? If so was a drain put in? Persistent foul odor does suggest continued infection. Absence of pus drainage would be a good sign though. The surgeon can advise you as to when you should be examined if foul odor is persists.
