This is a question you should pose to the treatment team that knows all the facts. Poisoning events are not uncommon for kids in the inquisitive years when they do not know better. Tasting things is one of the ways they learn. The seriousness of the event can only be known by the treatment team.

There may be an antidote if the type of pesticide is known. The cardiac and respiratory systems should be supported and the best resource pediatric center is recommended. The low sodium may be correctable, and a head CT may be useful if there is neurologic involvement.
