A member asked:

I had severe shoulder and elbow pain for 3 weeks. went to a doctor. they couldnt figure it out. i woke up yesterday and the pain is totally gone. 80yrs old and never had anything like this before?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Did examinations pinpoint the pain to the joints themselves by provoking more pain on motions of the joints and pressing on them? If not, the problem could have been impingement on a nerve root exiting a neck verterbra interspace. In any event, either inflammation of the 2 joints or release of the pinched nerve spontaneously resolved or was a delayed response to anti-inflammatory meds you took
