15 mg Amlodipine would be an unusually high dose, starting dose is usually 5 mg with regular dose at 10 mg if tolerated. High blood pressure is tightly related to lifestyle and lifestyle changes should always be part of the plan, including weight loss if applicable, proper rest, dietary changes, etc, sometimes hypertension is secondary to another medical condition and work up is needed.
