I am having dull aches around the heart for about a week. i just started having sharp pains as well. i got an ekg, xray & blood test, everything was normal. what could this be?

Does not sound like coming from the heart. Best to ask the doc who examined you as there can be many reasons for without exam no diagnosis can be made

It is not feasible to provide an opinion without additional history, physical examination may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor to see if you may be depressed. Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water.
