Several effective treatments prevent progression of immune deficiency. With lifelong treatment by an experienced doctor or clinic, most people with HIV live normal life spans without serious side effects. Effective treatment also prevents transmission to partners. As yet there is no cure, i.e. no treatment to eliminate virus; that might come someday, but probably not in the near future.

After protective veginal sex with call gril.I started anti hiv drug after 7 days of exposure and completed on day 47. I took hiv 4th gen combo p24ag/ab test negative after 30 days of complete treatment and 77 days of exposure.Is my result canclusive?
