A member asked:

What are the symptoms of wolff parkinson white syndrome and can it be missed on an ekg?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

WPW Syndrome is marked by an ancillary heart conduction pathway that leads to periodic atrial tachycardia. The defect is usually detected in the newborn period and the EKG has notable features. I don't believe anyone who reads EKG's would miss the feature. I cannot see it remaining hidden until middle age.
