Occasionally, i have sharp abdominal, trearing type pain (mostly following area of upper colon) when i lightly push to have a bm. it isnt all the time & seems random, not necessarily or specifically after constipation. should i be concerned?

I would regard this as abdominal muscle pain,related to a sharp cramp, rather than colonic pain. If this is a fleeting symptom without abdominal tenderness or other recurrent discomfort or intestinal symptoms, I see no need for investigation at this time. Incidentally have you had your screening colonoscopy yet?
