A member asked:

Had my ctarracts removed last summer. the first one went fine. then, after the second operation, my vision doubles when watching television or driving. ophthamologist says my sight in either eye is 20/20. wants me to get glasses with prisms?

You actually should trust your Ophthamologist, this is not a question. Visual acuty and astigmatism are two different things.

Thank

before putting a patient in prisms for diplopia I would perform a work up for myasthenia gravis, since the vision is doubling with ocular fatigue, driving and watching TV.
