Treat yourself and the close contacts. You don't need to wash the carpet if you are not sleeping on it. You need to wash and dry thoroughly your clothes and linens which you may be in contact in the next 3 days because scabies mites generally do not survive for more than two to three days away from human skin. The best way will be using new clothes and linens for 3 days after the treatment.
