HIV is less likely because HIV does not survive long out of living host. However, transmission of hepatitis B or C may occur. In my native country, Vietnam, a lot of Vietnamese men have exposed to hepatitis B because of the barbers use the same razor for many people and there is, of course, no appropriate sterilizing process. Vietnamese women do not receive hair shaving so they are mostly spared.

Can you get hep b/c or hiv from an electric shaver used by a barber? My barber used an electric rotary shaver to shave below my chin and I didnt get any cuts but im worried about micro cuts and I dont think the equipment was sterilized?
