Whats the best antibiotic for chronic utis? ive had chronic utis for over 2 years followed by burning pee, the urge to pee but very little come out, odd discharge, terrible odor, pain, etc. ive been prescribed antibiotics before, but never finish?

Recurrent UTI requires specific actions: culture & sensitivity to ID germ & best antibiotic, also to ascertain the infect. & not that is Interstitial Cystitis. Urologist eval to rule out urethra structure cause. Regular Vit C, which prevents bacteria in urinary tract from dividing & duplication. Too many UTIs expose kidneys to possible long term injury.

What you need is a good clinical exam and subsequent testing for an accurate diagnosis and treatment by a Urologist. In the meantime keep the area clean with soap and water, drink water and avoid constipation. Good luck

Lasix is needed for CHF/CKD fluid overload but causing burning during urination. Should UTI be suspected (finished antibiotic course). Should low dose antibiotic be considered if inflammation/URI is recurring? Will bumex work better in this case?
