At the very least trauma to the anorectal area can occur but this would result in pain & tenderness there. Bacterial infection could follow. Bowel movements may be affected. Abdominal pain & tenderness would be severe if high rectal perforation occurred or if incomplete rectal obstruction is present.. I recommend having a rectal & abdominal examination by your physician.
