A member asked:

When an ultrasound report says, liver is normal in shape and size, does it generally mean that the architecture of the liver is normal and not altered?

In general it means the liver is "normal" as defined by anatomy and physiology seen by the ultrasound technology. But more important, is the reason for the study. Best to discuss it with the ordering Practitioner or see the Gastroenterologist for review and evaluation.
