It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Regular aerobic exercise would help by improving muscle strength and flexibility. Exercise at least 30 minutes each day at sufficient intensity to induce sweating. If that does not help in 2-3 weeks, it would be prudent to see a doctor. Wish you good health!

Absent injury, likely is muscle spasm. Dr-prescribed muscle relaxants. Intermittent soft cervical collar to take wt. of head off neck. A physical therapist trained in neck and shoulder muscle and myofascia “release” can do wonders. Use an heating pad for 15 minutes on neck before bed and when arise. Topicals like Tiger-balm can help. Get a more properly supportive neck pillow.
