Probiotics are a fancy name for germs that play nice in the GI tract beyond the stomach. Their presence can crowd out germs that cause problems. They would do nothing for the stomach issue. Avoid caffeine and nicotine, focus on simple meals avoiding spices or acidic drinks (sodas). Your doc may recommend acid reducing meds.

Probiotics have not been shown to be effective for any disorder and may add to your symptoms. You need consult a GI specialist for long term management of your symptoms and the underlying cause.
