We have not recommended antihistamine containing cough medicines in general for decades. There is a Zarbees' cough medicine that contains no antihistamines. From 1-4 yrs the dose is a teaspoon.

The other option is baby zarbees for infants older than 6 months and the dose is listed on the box. Discuss whether this is an option with your Pediatrician. A virtual consult with Healthtap is also available. Nasal saline is often effective in reducing the symptoms of a cold.
