Generally speaking, can you take transdermal hrt if you have migraine with aura? i have migraine with aura with basilar migraine features. i know i cannot take the combined pill but the information about transdermal oestrogen is less clear. thanks?

The basic issue is stroke risk, and the combination of classical migraine, smoking, and female hormones raises the risks. The delivery system makes no real difference. Discuss this with your neurologist and gynecologist.
