A member asked:

Went to a dermatologist 2 weeks ago who diagnosed tinea versicolor and prescribed oral and topical antifungals x 2 weeks. the treatment (still ongoing) seems to have aggravated the fungus which is spreading much faster now. is this normal?

I would follow up with the dermatologist. He can do a biopsy if one has not already been done and assess whether the signs you are having are related to a drug reaction versus worsening rash. Also may need another product, if the medication he gave are ineffective. Call today .

Finish your treatment and then talk to the dermatologist if you are not improved.
