A member asked:

I missed my periods from may to june then went to the doctor on 1 july and he checked me and found out i was 8 weeks and 6 days, i don't understand how he got 8 weeks and 6 days because on 30 april i had my periods for 5 days?

If your physician used ultrasound to evaluate the growth/size of your pregnancy, the measurements may indicate a approximate age of the pregnancy. With a history of regualar menstrual periods, missing "from May to June" may date the pregnancy to about "8 weeks".
