A member asked:

The iud is sited abnormally low being in the lower uteirne segment extending towards the cervix.i have a low lying iud.could it be doctor's fault?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: There is a standard way that iuds are inserted. Sometimes there is an anatomical difference in women that forces the iud to be lower in the uterus. Sometimes, it just happens. I don't think it is your doctor's "fault".
