A member asked:

What does the symptomatic timeline look like for vaccinated people with omicron these days? average time from onset of symptoms to resolution? until no longer contagious? how about from initial onset of symptoms to hospitalization in severe cases?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

As a guideline I feel that symptoms would certainly start within 5 days of exposure & last less than 10 days. If absolutely no symptoms for 48 hours and after a week from symptoms you're not contagious. Severe acute cases requiring hospitalization show deterioration within 2 or 3 days or so in the form of respiratory distress & hypoxia usually. Remember these are guidelines & my observations.
