There are too many causes of diarrhea to even guess at the cause or best treatment without a lot more information. Most cases of diarrhea are unexplained, last only a couple of days, and clear up on their own. If your has lasted more than a week, or if you see any blood or have any cramping, see a doctor soon. Good luck.

Without getting into diagnostic considerations, as a general rule, when one has a problem with excessive diarrhea, it's recommended to drink lots of room temperature liquids to avoid dehydration. As for diet, follow a soft diet avoiding roughage, especially indigestible fiber. After more than a few loose stools, take kaopectate or imodium as needed according to instructions. Call your MD as needed.
