A member asked:

For symptoms from head trauma that occurred a wk ago, started on 5th day that include pressure/pain/ringing in ears, pain opening jaw to chew, headache, mild nausea, sleepiness, would an urgent care walk in visit or an er visit be more appropriate?

You do not tell us how bad you head trauma was and in what situation so it's difficult to associate with the current symptoms which seems similar to symptoms of TMJ disorder. Urgent care is usually not equipped with CT scan or MRI so if you decide to go, you should go to ER because head imaging will likely be ordered, mainly for liability.

Appears that the "head trauma" resulted in at least a jaw injury (TMJ problem), and perhaps a post-traumatic headache. Since it has been a week, see no urgency to seek emergency care, but it is your choice, and an ER would be more thorough, BUT, far more expensive. Phone your local doctor and perhaps initiate an evaluation there. You may also need dental consultation.
