Irregular menstrual periods are common. The fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone can be easily affected by pregnancy, stress, weight gain/loss, thyroid problems, and uterine issues such as adenomyosis or fibroids. If they persist, talk to your Dr about your irregular periods and what testing can be done to determine the cause.

Hi. Would subclinical hypothyroidism need to be treated with levothyroxine? I have been spotting off and on for 6 months. Sometimes very red blood heavy bleeding and sometimes brown red smelly discharge. Ive been tested for thyroid. Slight high tsh.
