A member asked:

I tested a 89% on my congenital antithrombin iii deficiency test.. what im reading online is this isnt a good thing? can someone please explain? i cant get ahold of my doctor he is out for the week?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I'm unsure of the normal ranges but 89% sounds ok. If one has antithrombin111 deficiency she'd have a family history of clotting disorder as it's a congenital condition that's treated with anticoagulant therapy especially if one has had otherwise unexplained phlebitis. Was the test done because of a clotting issue or a family history of one? Were other coagulation tests also done?
