There should be no detrimental effects from using a saline (salt water) spray after the expiration date. Prescription and non-description drugs must carry expiration dates by federal law. Since the saline spray has no ingredients other than salt and possibly baking soda, you should be fine. If concerned, discard what you have and purchase an unexpired product.
