I am not sure what is your question. From your description, it sounds like your wife had stroke. The course of symptoms following a stroke vary tremendously from person to person. Some people recover quite a bit with physical therapy and speech/language therapy as well as some medications. Challenges ahead for both of you; I wish you strength and healing.

Fully agree with Dr. Madonna, as your wife appears to have suffered a stroke, in the distribution of the middle cerebral artery. Whether this was thrombotic or embolic needs an answer. Medication to prevent future events is critical. Rehabilitation steps do include Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapies.
