We have not recommended antihistamine containing cough/cold preparations in kids under 6 for decades. They were/are responsible for a significant number of ER visits/yr from overdoses. The robatussin in appropriate doses is fine but seldom does more than give a parent something to do. Good nutrition/rest and fluids help the most.
