A newborn delivered vaginally during a first outbreak of herpes is at high risk. After the first outbreak is gone, a baby delivered vaginally later on has much less risk and if the docs know of the potential risk ahead of time the risk can be minimized further. If you develop it & you may not, treatments to suppress outbreaks are available. You can live life and thrive.
