Do I have Herpes: There is a big difference from being exposed and being infected. If you have the blood tests that say you have one or both types of herpes then you can give this to your partner. He should, of course, also have the blood tests. The reason behind this recommendation is that 90% of people infected with herpes may not ever have an outbreak and thus not know that they are contagious.
