I recently had perforated colon surgery on 10/28 w/ 4 days in hosp. is it normal to feel uncomfortable pressure in lower abdomen when urinating? also how long is the healing process?

If your symptoms persist beyond a week or so after surgery, it would be prudent to consult your doctor to rule out persistent infection. Wish you good health!

It depends on type and extent of surgery. Open surgery- 6-10 weeks includes the healing process. Drink more fluids and if the yrinary problem persists after a few days see the doc. Hope you do well.
