A 17-year-old female asked:

gloxi is a height enhancer, you think its effctive?

No, of course not: Most people reach their maximum height in their late teens. Without nutritional problems or chronic childhood illnesses, height is largely based on genetics and parental heights. Aside from eating right, exercising, sleeping well, and being happy, there's not much a person nor his doctor can do to increase height. In rare cases, growth hormone is approved for use in younger, extremely short kids.

Is it true that long length at birth is an indicator of height later in life?

No: Babies are born to fit their mothers womb. This has nothing to do with their final height. Their final height has to do with their genetics and diet. Height at birth can also be affected by mother's diet during pregnancy and whether or not she smoked during the pregnancy. These things can make the baby shorter at birth.

Could leukopenia cause reduction in height?

Dr. Robert Kwok
Pediatrics 33 years experience
No: Leukopenia (white blood cells in the blood are fewer than normal) does not cause reduction a child's final height. However, if the leukopenia was severe, and the child had persistent or recurrent infections throughout childhood, he might not grow as tall due to having chronic illnesses. In an adult, leukopenia does not make him shorter.

How to become lean.. For 5ft. Height what should be weight.?

Dr. Lauren Elson

Depends on body type: There is no magic or healthy weight for a given height. By eating well balanced meals and by exercising regularly, you will achieve a lean body mass that is right for you. To be healthy, it is recommended to do cardiovascular activity 30 mins/day, 4 or 5x/wk. Add resistance exercises to improve tone. Never aim to lose more than 2 pounds per week. Stay Healthy!: The best one can do is make sure to be eating healthy, get quality sleep and exercise. The rest is genetics, provided a chronic illness or the like doesn't interfere, which would be very unusual.
