A member asked:

What is a hpv vaccine? i believe i had the vaccine when i was 13. told i didn't need another one?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The HPV vaccine helps the body develop antibody protection against cancer and genital wart causing strains of the most common sexually transmitted disease. Most males never know they have it or can spread it. The vaccine has been around in some form since 2006, with later improvements. Additional doses would depend on what vaccine you received. Two doses of the Gardasil 9 would be adequate.
