Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar would be first condition that comes to mind with others such as dehydration and/or hypotension likely to have contributed as well. Syncope is in medical terms passing out or fainting and that can be precipitated by fear, severe pain or emotional distress among others.

During your syncopal episode your blood pressure dropped significantly and your heart rate most likely slowed down from excess vagal tone. These occurences caused a reflex outpouring of adrenaline which caused those postsyncopal symptoms.
