You should not be concerned about rabies unless the bat attacked you and took a big bite which you would definitely notice. Bats have exquisite radar navigation abilities and after dark are silently flying around us in the wild all the time, especially near rivers and lakes. They see us way before we're aware of them, can turn on a dime and have no interest in running into us.
