A member asked:

Good morning doctors. how is a brain aneurysm treated? how long is the recovery and what is involved in the recovery process? this is for a female age 60?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Assuming the absence of rupture so far, the size and location are critical. Contact a neurological surgeon and get an opinion. Typically if the aneurysm bursts, 50% immediate mortality ensues, and about 60% of the survivors live over one year. Thus this is a very severe event if control is lost.
