A member asked:

Can a patient with kidney disease take unisom?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Raj Singh answered

Yes: The active ingredients in unisom are antihistamines such as Diphenhydramine and doxylamine. These drugs are metabolized by the liver so renal toxicity has not been reported. These medications however can cause urinary retention.
