I have a sleek braided ponytail and have been dealing with some strong itching. now three looks to be a swollen lymph node behind my head by the base of my ponytail. i know that i tie my hair down tightly with a satin scarf every night. what's wrong?

You may have some scalp inflammation to explain the itching and the swollen lymph node reacting to it. Have your MD or a dermatologist examine your scalp and advise you.
