I have a navicular stress fracture, should it be cast? does it depend on severity? i have an eating d which caused it- i usually walk 8 hours (cut down to 4). i can't stop walking so a dr said it should be cast to stop me walking or it won't heal???

When weight-bearing the navicular bone cannot be avoided. Yes this should be cast especially if the fracture in is intra articular. If joint involved there are no options allow to heal or you will have a problem rest of life
