I was prescribed a 7 day course of doxycycline for chlamydia. during this time, id have 4+ drinks some days. could this effect my treatment? it has been 3 weeks since completing my course of medicine and some symptoms are still present yet mild?

You had the recommended treatment for chlamydia, and alcohol does not interfere with doxycycline. If you took all the drug on schedule, your chlamydia is gone. Symptoms can linger, but usually not this long. You may have also have nonchlamydial urethritis, perhaps caused by Mycoplasma genitalium. Return to the doctor or clinic where you were treated, or find a doctor/clinic familiar with STDs.
