For past 7 months i gave been obsessing over colon cancer. someone i heard died at 33. i had constipation my whole life. it got better with diet change but what scares me is i see occasional string of mucus weekly. no blood/other symptoms. cancer?

These symptoms do not suggest cancer, but you may have irritable bowel syndrome. Hearing about any rare medical problem doesn't mean you are at risk. Do you worry about lightning when you read new that someone was struck?
