When placed, tubes are inserted into and remain attached to the ear drum. I see no reason not to continue with hyperbaric treatments or other activities of your daily living. Some ENT's don't like you swimming or doing other activities that might permit debris/germs from the outer ear to enter the middle ear through the tube.

Not only is it safe but many people who have to undergo hyperbaric oxygen have tubes placed prophylactically so that they can continue the hyperbaric treatments safely and comfortably.
